GENERAL TRAVEL INFORMATION

AIRPORTS

There are airports in Denver (DEN), Cheyenne, WY (CYS), and Steamboat Springs/Hayden (HDN). The Denver International Airport is 70 miles (1 hour 15 minutes) from Ft. Collins; the Cheyenne Airport is close – 47 miles/50 minutes, but you would reach Cheyenne via a commuter flight from DIA. The Steamboat Springs/Hayden Airport is 25 mile/40 minute drive from Steamboat Springs, but a 182 mile/4 hour 30 minute drive to Ft. Collins. There are both direct and connecting flights from DIA to Steamboat Springs. A return drive from Steamboat Springs to DIA would be 181 miles/3 hour 45 minute drive and to Cheyenne 175 miles/3 hour 45 minute drive. Driving time/distance from Mapquest.

We have a list of host hotels with special rates for WWR participants in Fort Collins. Hotels in Walden and Steamboat Springs are also listed.

FORT COLLINS

Plan to arrive at the Budweiser Tour Center in Ft. Collins one hour before your assigned start. This is necessary for the team to go through the check-in process, equipment safety check, and to pick up the team's shirts and goodie bags.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS

Consider extending your stay in Steamboat and take advantage of the many natural attractions and events taking place.
