Location: Intersection of Highway 1 and Country Road 58 Runner Crossing
Directions:
You will need to go to Exchange 2 to pick up your equipment and if you need to use facilities - it is just about 2 miles from this location:
From I-25 - Get off I-25 at the Hwy 1/Wellington exit (Exit 278) and go west. Follow Hwy 1 .9 miles through Wellington and then follow the curve south. Go .3 miles to the intersection of Larimer County Road 62. Exchange 2 is at this intersection.
From downtown Fort Collins: Go north on Hwy 287 (College Avenue) to the intersection of Hwy 1 towards Wellington. Turn onto Hwy 1. Follow Hwy 1 8.5 miles to the intersection of Larimer County Road 62. Exchange 2 is at this intersection.
To the intersection: continue south on Hwy 1 for two miles; where Hwy 1 curves to the west (right) is where the intersection with Country Road 58 is.
Volunteer Parking: Park in the pullout on the south side of the intersection well off the road

Runner Monitor - 2; assist with the safe crossing of the runners across Hwy 1. R1 will instruct runner to go to R2 and to wait until R2 gives clearance to cross. R2 will hold runner until it is safe for runner to cross Hwy 1. Speed limit is 55 MPH so make sure it is clear in both directions. Make note of the bib number and report any runner to the Race Director who does not stop and follow your instructions.
Exchange Notes:
There will be a Colorado State Patrolman with their cruiser to assist. Make a note of the bib number of any runner who does wait and follow your instructions. They should NOT run along the right shoulder to cross when they feel like it. She should cross Hwy 1 in a straight line rather than diagonally. Instruct all runners that if they do not follow your instructions, their team will be disqualified.
